He, with his parents, Martin and Mary Loftus Gilroy, brother Patrick and sister Margaret moved to Pittston, Pennsylvania in 1857. He lived in the Pittston area until 1949 when he moved to Parsons and lived with Grandma and Papa. He died in 1950. After arriving in Pittston Martin, born in Ireland in 1825, and Mary, born in Ireland in 1832, had 6 additional children and eventually about 55 grandchildren. |
