Killian Sauer, 64, died at the family home, 8266 51st Avenue, Elmhurst, L. I. yesterday afternoon at 4 following several months illness. Mr. Sauer was born in Waymart and moved to Wilkes-Barre with his parents, Rile late Mr. and Mrs. John Sauer, when a child. He lived here until moving to Elmhurst with his wife three years ago.
Surviving is his widow, the former Kate Gill, Wilkes-Barre; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Camerata, Elmhurst; Mrs, Gerald Dunlavy, Elmhurst; one sister, Mrs. Joseph Geiser, Wilkes-Barre. He was a nephew of the late Monsignor Michael O'Rourke, Carbondale.When he resided in Wilkes-Barre, Mr. Sauer was engaged as a painting contractor and was last employed by the city of Wilkes-Barre. He was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Immaculate Conception and the Holy Name Society.
The body will arrive in this city tonight at 10:10 and will be taken to the McLaughlin Funeral Home, 142 South Washington Street, from where the funeral will be held at a time to be announced.
