Distressing Accident in the Laurel Run Mine
Thomas Gill and his Hungarian laborer were caught under a fall of coal in the Laurel Run mine of the Algonquin Coal Co. at Parsons on Saturday morning. Gill was seriously injured and is not expected to recover. His laborer had his back broken. Mr. Gill is an old resident of Parsons living at what is known as Laurel Run Patch. He is married and has a large family.

Thomas Gill Passes Away at the Hospital
Thomas Gill of Parsons who was injured by a fall of rock in Laurel Run mine on Saturday died yesterday at the hospital. He was about 40 years old. He has lived in Parsons for a number of years and was one of the most upright men of that place. He is survived by a widow and several children. The funeral will be on Wednesday.

Funeral
The funeral of the late Thomas Gill occurred yesterday afternoon with services at St. Dominics Church. Reverend Father Kernan officiated. There was a large attendance of relatives from Pittston. The pall bearers were Michael Murray, James Farrel, Martin Flaherty, William Burke and Patrick McCarty.
