Funeral will be Friday morning at 9 with mass at 9:30 at St. Mary’s Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Elizabeth Joyce was a daughter of the late Peter and Bridget (Gavin) Joyce, pioneer Upper Pittston residents, and during her long and useful life in that community, she acquired many friends to whom her death has occasioned sorrow. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and its societies. Senator Joyce died on October 21, 1938 and Mrs. Joyce and Mrs. Joyce died the following day.
Joseph P. Joyce, former Pittston City treasurer, is the only immediate survivor. Four children of Senator and Mrs. Joyce, who lived with deceased, also survive: Joseph P., Mary Patricia, George and Frances.
