Mrs. Richard Gill, 75, the former Delia Walsh, of 141 Matson Avenue, Parsons section, died yesterday afternoon at 4:10 at the Mercy Hospital of a heart attack. She had been admitted to the hospital four days ago as a medical patient.
Mrs. Gill was the daughter of the late Robert and Ann Kelly Walsh, pioneer residents of the Laflin section. She was born in Laflin and had resided in Parsons 48 years.
Mrs. Gill was the past president of Altar and Rosary Society of St. Dominic's Church, of which she was a member; was the past commander of Catholic War Mothers Auxiliary, a member of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women and of Parsons War Mothers Auxiliary.
Surviving are her husband, Richard: daughters, Mary, a Wilkes-barre City school teacher; Mrs. Robert Haiganey, Brooklyn, N. Y.; Mrs. Roy Dennison, Bergenfield, N. J., and Mrs. Daniel Bocolo, Wilkes-Barre; sons, Joseph, Wilkes-Barre; Richard, Allentown; Robert, at home; brother, Michael Walsh, Laflin; sisters, Mrs. Patrick Shea, Beacon, N. Y. and Mrs. Thomas Flynn, Wilkes-Barre; nine grand-children.
Funeral will be held from the funeral home, 159 George Avenue. Friends may call starting Thursday 2 to 5 and 7 to 10.
