Mrs. Joyce was a graduate of Pittston Township High School and was employed by the Pittston Area School District. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Joyce, who was killed in action during World War II; son, Patrick Joyce; sisters, Mary, Jule and Grace; brothers, Joseph and Roscoe.
Surviving are sisters, Gertrude Bender and Margaret Mulcahy, with whom she resided; daughter-in-law, Bonnie, Virginia; grandchildren, Michael, Heather and Lisa; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Alexis, Dominick and Jade; many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10:30 in St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston, with the Rev. Earl Keating, her cousin, officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. At the request of the family, there will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are by Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 802 Susquehanna Ave., West Pittston.
