He graduated from St. John’s High School, Pittston, and Lackawanna Business College. He was employed by IBM, New York, for 25 years before moving to North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, state Senator and Mrs. Patrick Joyce and maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Mulcahy. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Bonnie Dewey Joyce; daughters Lisa and Heather; a son Michael and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday in Immaculate Conception Church, Hendersonville, N.C.. Interment will be in the Shepherd Memorial Park.
