Before retiring in 1977, she taught elementary school in Wilkes-Barre Area School District. She was a member of St. Dominic's Church, Wilkes-Barre; National and Pennsylvania State Education Associations; Retired State Teachers Association; Women's Club, Parsons; Catholic Daughters; and Ladies of Charity.
Sisters, Rita and Elizabeth, brothers, Joseph and Robert, preceded her in death.
Surviving are sisters, Catherine Haighney, Brooklyn, N.Y.; Anne Dennison, Bergenfield, N.J.; Ruth Bocolo, Mountain Top; brother, Richard J., Allentown; nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held Saturday at 9 from E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with Funeral Mass at 9:30 in St. Dominic's Church. Interment will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Friday, 6 to 8.
