Clare Christopher O'Neill (1909-2004)

Clare O'Neill, 95, of the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre, died Sunday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospi

She was born March 26, 1909, in Parsons, and was a daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Gill) Christopher. She was a graduate of the Parsons Borough schools and Mansfield State Teachers College. She was a special education teacher for the Wilkes-Barre Area School District for many years. Mrs. O'Neill was a member of St. Dominic's Church, Wilkes-Barre, and its former Altar and Rosary Society. She also belonged to the National Education Association, Pennsylvania State Education Association, and the Wilkes-Barre Area Education Association.

Surviving are a daughter, Joan Moyer, Wilkes-Barre and New Port Richey, Fla.; granddaughters, Julie Cuorato, Philadelphia; Lisa Bott, Palm Harbor, Fla.; great-grandchildren, John Cuorato, Nikki Bott, Morgan Bott.

The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Dominic's Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.

Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
