She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Plains, and was employed as a Bell Telephone operator in the Miners Mills Exchange.
Mrs. Ryan was a member of the Parish Community of Sacred Heart-St. Joseph's Church, Plains Township, and its Altar and Rosary Society.
Mrs. Ryan celebrated her 100th birthday on Valentine's Day, 2002.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter A.; son, Joseph E. Surviving are sons, Paul A., Virginia Beach, Va.; James M., Syracuse, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Rose Smith, Endwell, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 from the Corcoran Funeral Home, 20 S. Main St., Plains, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in Sacred Heart Church, Plains. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Plains. Friends may call Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Church.
