Ruth Gill Bocolo (1926-2003)

Ruth A. Bocolo, of Mountain Top, died Thursday
at the Hospice Community Care Inpatient Unit at

She was born in the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre, daughter of the late Richard and Delia Walsh Gill. She was a graduate of Coughlin High School and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Scranton.

Mrs. Bocolo was employed for many years as a registered nurse by Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.

She was a member of St. Jude's Church, Mountain Top.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel; sisters, Rita, Elizabeth and Mary; brothers, Joseph and Robert.

Surviving are her daughter, Mary Kay Kachel, Mountain Top; two grandchildren; sisters, Catherine Haighney, Brooklyn, N.Y.; Anne Dennison, Bergenfield, N.J.; brother, Richard J., Allentown.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 9:15 from E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., with a Funeral Mass at 10 in St. Jude's Church.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Friday, 6 to 9 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Center, 2010 Adams Ave., Scranton, PA 18509, or to St. Jude's Church, 420 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top, PA 18707.
