Peter P. Kane

Peter P. Kane, a well known barber, of 125 Finn Street, Miners Mills, died yesterday morning at 5:40 at his home following several months illness.

Mr. Kane was born in Miners Mills, a son of the late Michael and Catherine Lawlor Kane. He conducted barber shops in Miners Mills, and on North Main Street in North End for many years. Mr. Kane had been in the barbering trade nearly 50 years. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Miners Mills, and the Holy Name Society. He was a veteran of World war 1, serving with the Army. His wife, the former Margaret Lamb, died January 31, 1959.

Surviving are children, Alice, James, and Marjorie, all at home; Paul., Exeter; a grandson, Paul, Jr., Exeter; sisters, and brother, Mrs. Alice Ryan, Marie, Walter Kane, all of Plains Township; Mrs. Harry Hancock, Endwell, N. Y.

The funeral will be held from McLaughlin Funeral Home, 142 South Washington Street, Friday at 9 with Requiem Mass at 9:30 in Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.

Friends may call Wednesday and Thursday, 3 to 5 and 7 to 10 p. m.
