She was a 1947 graduate of Pittston High School. She was an area photography model and retired from American Chain and Cable in 1967.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Pittston and was a participant of several area marching bands. She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. William Patrick O’Malley on Tuesday.
Surviving are her sister, Marion Bird, Minooka; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday from the Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, 728 Main St., Avoca, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church in Pittston. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in Pittston, with Monsignor John J. Bendik officiating.
