Margaret Gavin, former resident of Upper Pittston, died yesterday morning at Maloney Home for Aged, Scranton, where she had been a guest 10 years.
She was a daughter of the late Patrick and Sarah Callahan Gavin and was the last survivor of the Gavin family.
She was born in Pittston and was a member of St. Mary's Help of Christian Church, Pittston, and its Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality. (*)
Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held from the funeral home, 575 North Main Street, Pittston. Friends may call tonight, 7 to 10.
(*) Census and other records indicate that Margaret was born in England and it is believed that her mother's maiden name was Joyce.
