Molly Gill Culbreth passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, at home in Little River, S.C.
Molly was born in Forty Fort on Jan. 16, 1956. She was the beloved daughter of the late Mollie Crossin Gill and Dr. John Gill. Molly attended Holy Name of Jesus Elementary School in Forty Fort and was a graduate of West Side Central Catholic High School, Kingston. She received her Bachelor's degree in accounting from Rider University in Lawrenceville, N.J. Molly relocated to Fayetteville, N.C., where she managed the Fayetteville Postal Credit Union for more than 30 years until retiring and moving to Little River, S.C.
Molly was an avid golfer who enjoyed the challenge of many golf courses throughout the United States. She loved Major League Baseball games, especially on Opening Day. Molly was a fiercely passionate New York Yankees fan who collected mementos of her favorite team. After enjoying a game of golf or a Yankees game, Molly liked to relax to the rhythm of her favorite jazz music or go for a swim.
Preceding her in death were a brother, James Gill; brothers-in-law, Francis Duffy and Jasper Vernon Culbreth; and sisters-in-law, Leola Bunce Culbreth and Barbara Ann Culbreth.
Surviving are her husband, Derryl Culbreth; sister, Margaret Duffy, Newtown; brothers, Atty. Jack Gill and his wife, Marie, Forty Fort; Dr. Kevin Gill and his wife, Marianne, Hollis, N.H.; Ned Gill and Mark Gill, both of Kingston; Tom Gill and his wife, Judy, Louisville, Ky.; brother-in-law, Vernon Culbreth, Stedman, N.C.; sister-in-law, Karen Cameron and her husband, James, Indian Trail, N.C.; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Molly devoted her life to her family, friends, the Yankees, swimming, and golf. She will be remembered for her kindness, contagious smile, and generous nature. Everyone who met Molly was an instant friend whom she cherished. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Molly's family will celebrate her life at a future date.
