James M. Connors Dead

"Another of the vernerable pioneer residents of the Pittston District was claimed by death this afternoon when James M. Connors, aged 85 years, died at 12:30 o'Clock at his home 53 Parnell Street, Browntown. Mr. Connors was born in Browntown and was one of the oldest residents of that village, as well as one of the most highly respected of its citizens.

His wife, the former Margaret Gilroy, died a number of years ago. During his active years, Mr. Connors had been employed at the Ewen Colliery, Pennsylvania Coal Company, but he had been retired for fifteen years. he was a devout member of Saint Johns Evangeilst R.C. Church and its holy name society. Surviving these sons and daughters: Mrs. Edward Crane, of 71 North Main Street; Michael of Frothingham Street, Browntown; John and James at home; Edward of Browntown; Mrs. George Arnold at home".
