Born on June 6, 1968, in Scranton, he was a son of Diane Ferrari Lehman, of Ocean City, Md., and the late Robert P. Gill. He lived in Tobyhanna all of his life.
After graduating from Pocono Mountain High School in 1986, Joe began working as a mason for Dailey & Flagherty in Tobyhanna, where he worked for 21 years until the time of his death.
He loved skiing, motorcycles and snowmobiling. He was also a ski instructor at Camelback Ski Area; was a NASCAR fan; appreciated music and liked tie-dye clothes.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Colleen J.M. Puskas Gill of Greentown; a son, Robert J. "Joey" Gill of Greentown; a stepdaughter, Lauren M. Cooke of Lake Charles, La.; a brother, Robert S. Gill of Ocean City; his stepfather, James Lehman of Ocean City, N.J.; and a stepsister, Yvonne Lehman of East Stroudsburg.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 10, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main St., Stroudsburg, with the Rev. Richard Ghezzi officiating. Cremation will have taken place at the H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg. Following the service there will be a reception at Lombardi's Brookside Inn in Tobyhanna.
