Mr. Gill was born in the East End section, son of the late Patrick and Mary Ann Cannon Gill. He was a member of Holy Saviour Church and its Holy Name Society.
Mr. Gill operated a restaurant at Kingston Corners for a number of years with his sister, the late Mae Gill. He also ran a garage in East End for a number of years.
Surviving are his wife, the former Nellie Comiskey; children, Leo, Wilkes-Barre; Raymond, East Paterson, N. J.; Walter, at home; John, Wilkes-Barre Township; sisters, Mrs. John Rushton, Wilkes-Barre; Mrs. Agnes Fitzgerald, New York City; Mrs. Josephine Rushton, Wilkes-Barre also seven grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the funeral home, 185 Kidder Street, Thursday morning at 9 with a solemn high mass of requiem at 9:30 in Holy Saviour Church. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call tonight 7 to 10 and Wednesday 2 to 5 and 7 to 10.
