A life resident of Wilkes-Barre, he was a 1929 graduate of Coughlin High School and was employed more than 20 years as a tool and die inspector by General Electric and Hoffman Corporations, Scranton. He later was associated in the restaurant business with Ward’s Café and Aldino’s, Wilkes-Barre and the Town House, Kingston. Mr. Gill was a steward for 10 years of Wilkes-Barre Council 302, Knights of Columbus, and was a member of Holy Saviour Church.
Surviving are a son, Leo A. Jr., at home; brothers, Walter and John, Wilkes-Barre.
Funeral will be Wednesday at 9 from H. Merritt Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 451 N. Main St., with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 in Holy Saviour Church. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Tuesday 7 to 9 p.m. Bishop William J. Hafey General Assembly, 4th Degree, K of C, will conduct ritual and recite the rosary at 8 p.m.
