Peter P. Gill Is laid At Rest

The funeral of Peter P. Gill, Baldwin, Long Island, N.Y., formerly of Pringle, was held this morning from the McLaughlin Funeral Home, 142 South Washington Street, City.

A Solemn High Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. Mary’s Church, South Washington Street, by the pastor, Rt. Rev. Monsignor F. A. Costello. Deacon was Rev. Charles O’Donnell, and sub-deacon, Rev. William Campbell. Rev. Father Campbell pronounced final benediction at St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle.

Pallbearers were Thomas Lubecky, Thomas M. Gill, Francis O’Malley, James McGuire, Louis Cannon and William McHugh.

Post 283, VFW, Kingston, conducted military rites at the grave for the World War I veteran. J. Hayes was commander and J. R. Humphrey was chaplain. Color guards were Clifford Petrey and William Peard. A detail from the Tobyhanna Signal Corps Depot comprised the firing squad. Buglers were John Brace and Thomas Youngblood.
