Robert M. Lee, of Garfield, whose mother lives in Forked River, Lacey, died yesterday at Beth Israel Hospital, Passaic. He was a stationary engineer employed at Garden State Paper, Local 68, Garfield, for 22 years. Born in Newark, he lived in Maplewood and Union before moving to Garfield.

He was predeceased by his father, Irving E. Lee. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Margaret and Philip F. Reilly of Forked River; an uncle, Harold M. Gilroy of Mountainhome, Pa.; four cousins, Kathleen Healey, Anne Zavalick, Elizabeth Schnabel and William M. Gilroy.

Cremation will be private. Arrangements are by Growney Funeral Home, Forked River.
