Mrs. Catherine N. Nolan, 87, of 61 Terrace St., Wilkes-Barre, died Saturday morning in Little Flower Manor Nursing Home, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Inkerman she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Durkin Nolan. She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School and resided in Wilkes-Barre for most of her life. She was a member of St. Therese Church, Wilkes-Barre. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond M., in 1939 and sons, Thomas, in 1934 and Raymond in 1978. Her brother, the late Rev. Peter A. Nolan, was a former pastor of Holy Name Church.
Surviving are a son, John J., of Portage, Mich.; daughter, Jane A. Nolan, Fayetteville, N.Y.; six grandchildren; sister, Mrs. T.E. Morriss, Park Ridge, Ill.
Funeral will be Monday at 9:30 from the M.J. McLaughlin Funeral Home, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Therese Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. There will be no calling hours.
