John Bilbow (1878-1936)

JOHN BILBOW OF BROWNTOWN DIED SUNDAY

John J. Bilbow, a well known resident of browntown section of Pittston Township, who had resided in that village all of his life, died last night at 10 o’clock at the home of his son, Patrick Bilbow, 4730 Silverwood street, Philadelphia.

A few months ago he went to Philadelphia to visit his son, and while there contracted the illness that resulted in death. Mr. Bilbow is also survived by two daughters, Miss Mary Bilbow, of Philadelphia, and Miss Margaret Bilbow, of East Orange, New Jersey; his mother, Mrs. Sarah Bilbow, of 46 Parnell street, Browntown; Two sisters, Mrs. M.H. Keating and Miss Frances Bilbow, of Browntown, and three brothers, Matthew Bilbow, of Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston; Michael, who resides with his mother in Browntown, and Thomas, a resident of California.

Undertaken Corcoran, of Plains, is bringing the body from Philadelphia to the Bilbow homestead, 46 Parnell street, Browntown, and the funeral will take place from there at a time to be announced.
