AGNES O'HARA

Agnes M. O ' Hara , 88, of East Sixth Street, Wyoming, died Sunday at Wesley Village, Jenkins TownshipBorn in West Pittston, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Mary Walsh Gilroy. She lived in Islin, N.J., and Kingston for many years before moving to Wyoming in 1972.

She graduated from St. John's High School, Pittston, and earned a registered nurse degree from Pittston Hospital School of Nursing in 1929. She was employed as a private duty nurse at Pittston Hospital for many years. Later, she worked at St. Michael Hospital, Newark, N.J., until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Wyoming.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Geraldine Ann; a brother, Edmund Gilroy; and sisters Regina Newcomb and Romayne Brislin.

Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Gerald A.; brothers Joseph Gilroy, Kingston; Jack Gilroy, Gainesville, Fla.; a sister, Sister Ellenita, Marywood, Scranton; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Metcalfe & Shaver Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Wyoming.

Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Pittston. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
