Mary Jean Lee, 72, of Hughestown, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013 in Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Pittston on May 3, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Rita Mulechey Gilroy. She was a graduate of Pittston Township High School and was a homemaker.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Robert, Dennis, Donald, Gerald and James Gilroy; sister Margaret Raubido and infant sister Carolyn Gilroy; grandsons, David Shearer and William F. Lee V.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, William F. Lee III; children, Carolyn Shearer (David), Thornhurst; William F. Lee IV (Lynn) , Pittston; Michelle Lee, Wilkes-Barre; Patrick Lee (Mary Jo), Old Forge; Mary Agnes Malinowski (Scott) Plains; Billy Jean Lee (Bill) Pittston; 16 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joan Patrone, West Pittston; Rita Dominick, Wyoming and Sally Sovan, Swoyersville; brothers, Martin Gilroy, Wyoming and Joseph Gilroy, Wilkes-Barre; numerous nieces and nephews.
