Mr. Gill was a highly respected resident of this town and he has lived here over 40 years. At one time he took active part in municipal affairs. He was also a member of St. Dominic’s church. His death is deeply regretted by the entire community.

Mrs. Patrick Henry of Scranton is attending the funeral of the late John Gill.

The flowers were carried by employees of the Gately, Fitzgerald & Lawler store of this city. The pall bearers were Patrick Smith, Michael McCabe, Patrick McCarthy, Thomas Durkin, Patrick Gallagher and Michael Durkin, Jr. Interment was in the family plot in St. Mary’s Cemetery at Hanover.

Rev. Father J. J. Coxe of Olyphant was deacon and Rev. Father J. J. Golden of Nanticoke sub-deacon. Rev. Father Feeley of Inkerman was master of ceremonies. In the sanctuary were Rev. Father Ruddy, Parsons; Rev. Father Hussie, Ashley; and Rev. Father Loftus of Scranton.
